   Bermudagrass Sod

Bermudagrass is a warm-season grass.  It is very similar to zoysiagrass in texture and characteristics.  It does spread faster than zoysia so bare spots repair themselves quicker.   It also grows vertically slightly faster so it must be mowed more frequently.  It can be kept at heights from 1 to 2 1/2 inches.  Keeping bermudagrass at the higher height reduces frequency of mowing.  Bermudagrass also goes dormant in the winter like zoysia and the maintenance requirements are the same.
